Lady Amanda Elizabeth Capers is the seventh of eight girls born to Mr. O.D. and Ms. Alice Stephens. She obtained her education through the Colleton School District. She graduated from Ruffin High School, and furthered her education by successfully completing sign language courses at the University of South Carolina- Salkehatchie Campus. On September 2, 1977, she was joined in holy matrimony with Bishop Paul M. Capers, Senior Pastor of LST Ministries, Inc. She was baptized in Jesus' name on March 18, 1979 and received the gift of the Holy Ghost on July 4, 1979 and has been living for Christ ever since.
Lady Capers loves the Saints of God, “I receive so much love, support, and encouragement from the people of God, and they are so dear to me.” Accepting her husband’s position, she felt she would not like the position of a Pastor’s Wife, but now realizes it is a promotion from God. Proverbs 31 states, “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.”
First Lady Capers is an active asset to Lively Stone Temple Apostolic Ministries. Faithfully involved in the church; she is currently a member on the Board of Trustees, the Women of Wisdom and Knowledge, former Usher Board Member, Evangelical Training Association graduate, and currently teaches the Nursery Sunday School Class. She is also Chairlady of the Ministers’ Wives Alliance and works faithfully with the Vacation Bible School activities.
Once a shy woman, she now speaks boldly for the Lord. She is a blessing each time she addresses the church, for she speaks with an authority and anointing from God.
